Firstly, Chenecks away on Saturday. As expected, a tight affair in which it was difficult to find any spaces on that pitch.

Itís always been that way and you have to take your opportunities when they come. We should have scored more than 1 in the first half which would have set us up nicely for the second half. Unfortunately, only Luis Vieraís goal separated the sides. It was a good move and deserved the goal but disappointed with only the one and we felt Chens would get better second half.

Chenecks did exactly that, I wouldnít say they threatened us massively other than from set-pieces. But also, we didnít threaten enough either. They got a goal from a corner to made it 1-1.

Young Josh Flanagan had a chance late on that he should have headed in but misjudged it. Ended 1-1.

Chenecks will have felt they deserved the point through their hard work second half, but I think we should have won the game, but then again, we didnít trouble them second half as much as first. Clear that you must take chances when you have them in the first half.

Tuesday night at home to Rothwell. Weíve played them pre-season, in the cup and now twice in the league. So, I think we have seen enough of one another!

This was one of those games that I felt would eventually come, it was just a matter of when.

The lads have been working incredibly hard to get things right. Not just in the games but training sessions twice a week, consistently brilliant turnouts. 20-plus with sessions on a Monday and Friday at times.

This was one of those games where everything went our way and everyone performed, minimum 8/10 all round.

Under-18 Cobblers lads Lewi Patching, Josh Flanagan, Haydn Price, and our own Will Russell did really well and hopefully will get better and better.

Sean McBride bagged two (he doesnít get many) and he was devastated he didnít get a hat-trick but young Will Russell got a debut goal after the ball it the post from Seanís header. The other goals came from Lovell and Haydn.

If you had offered me four points before the games a week ago I would of taken it. So good week.

As much as we get on with Rothwell manager Mitch Austin, I think we will be happy not to be playing each other for a while. All the best to them!

We canít get carried away, itís only one result after a poor run for our standards.

Tough game Saturday against a very strong Boston side, who will be looking to finish top 6 this season. They have got some top players from that area so going to have to be at our best again.
